What a Day!!!

Ok so I am an idiot!!! Zander's speech eval is tomorrow (better than yesterday I s'pose!) not today so we went out into the cold for nothing UGH! Well it's the first time we have been out early enough for Burger king's breakfast LOL I LOVE their sausage, egg and cheese croisan' wich! YUM! and Zander had french toast sticks and hash browns. We both had some orange juice too. it was very yummy! As soon as we got back home I dressed Zander in some warm fleece footy pajamas and jumped back under the covers to snuggle for a while. Once he took his nap I got up to do a few things around the house but didn't get very far. I had a horrible sinus headache and went to lay back down after an hour or so....

The dentist went well. Other than the fact they took Zander last... why the heck they did that I will never know!!! poor guy's attention span is only so long and we had to wait about an hour before they took him back. I went back with him and everything looked good. no cavities in any of the kids teeth HOORAY! so back in 6 months like always.

We stopped at the Gap in Naperville but it was too late and too cold to walk up and down the riverwalk, boo! We ended up passing by Fox valley mall, though, to do some exchanges at gymboree and we also checked out Gap too heehee.By the time we got home Louis had taken care of dinner and I got to relax and go through the gap group order.

All in all a productive day, I'll update about Zander's speech eval tomorrow =)

A Day In The Life!

I am sitting here procrastinating already! I have so much to do today and can you believe some of it is already done???

For starters today is picture day at school so I woke up extra early so I could style Wes and Lanie's Hair.... yes you read that right! I STYLED Wesley's hair LOL seems there is a girl...in 8th grade that likes his hair all flippy and his curls of course! If i showed you a picture of this kid last school year and compared it to him now you would not believe how long his hair has gotten!! and OMG the curls! I wish I could find a picture of his dad in High school because he had the same exact hairstyle LOL So anyway he wore one of his red graffiti styles Aeropostale shirts. Martie did not want me to style her hair {big surprise} and instead of the cute gap butterfly shirt I set out for her she wore an old navy rocker style tee. Lanie wore her butterfly tee (even though the hem is coming out boohoo) and her butterfly clippie. Who wants to bet that thing will NOT be in her hair correctly for the picture? Actually who wants to bet that the pictures will actually turn out the first time this year? LOL Call me picky but I am paying for these photos and I swear E V E R Y . S I N G L E . Y E A R . the photographer tells them not to smile with their teeth!!! UGH! I tell them in the morning before they leave YOU BETTER SMILE WITH YOUR TEETH!!!! Yet I receive pics a month later with lippy smiles... not toothy ones =( If the school was smart they would let me just go to this first sitting rather than me showing up on picture retake day with an attitude... {off my soap box now}

OK so next thing to do for the day should have been to shower but of course the towels sit in the dryer still damp UGH Why can't we just buy a new washer and dryer??? so I had to restart them and hope that I don't look like a total scum today at Zander's Speech eval.

Zander of course is still in bed but I need to wake him up shortly to head to his speech evaluation at 9am. it will last til 10am and IF the therapists think he would benefit from their services they will do an i.e.p. meeting right afterwards running til 11am. FUN!

Hope I remember to return the movies to blockbuster today as well =:-O

When we get home I really do need to clean up this house and stop procrastinating! I secretly wish our house was larger so it would fit all our crap in it without looking cluttered! Oh wait... I just said it out loud so i guess it is not a secret after all.... LOL

Martie get out today at the regular time and will be home around 3pm. She, Zander and I will have to be sitting outside the school no later than 3:50 to get Wes from Science Club and Lanie from Mentoring. Only to run straight to the dentist (which is 40 minutes from our house) to be at their appts at 4:30 UGH! Today is Zander's first time seeing the dentist so lets pray things go smoothly for him! (and the dentist LOL)

To the kids' dismay I might have to run to the Gap and exchange some thing since i will be right there in Naperville. Hopefully it is nice out so we can walk down the river walk as well.

As soon as I get home I am sure I will pass out from utter exhaustion but oh wait I can't... I have to cook dinner UGH (maybe I will cook it when I get home from the speech eval so all we have to do is warm it up when we return home heehee. Where is my crock pot!?!?!?

Well friends, I better run and get Zander ready! I am already exhausted just typing this all out. LOL

O.M.G. Is It Wrong????

that the minute I returned home from watching High School Musical 3 I googled Zac Efron to make sure he was old enough to Lust after???? LOL

WOW!!! is all I have to say!
What a great movie and MAN that boy can dance!!! YUM!

The Dishes Are Done, Man!!!

I LOVE that part in the movie Don't tell mom, the babysitter's dead!!! But yes All of my dishes are finally done YAY! Like a teenager Louis made me wash them all before i went out tonight. =( but Wes helped so they got done and i got to go out.

My friend Lisa and I arrived late at Maggiano's and received yet again poor service. Not from the wait staff but the food was late and/or non existent UGH We ordered the Shrimp Oreganatta and it never came out. When we mentioned we would be late for the movie they tried to hurry but still I give the visit only 2 stars! On the bright side we did get the entire meal comped due to some other problems with our spinach and chicken manicotti. The margaritas were great and Phil the cutie waiter was hilarious!

We then went to see The Duchess and I must say I was not impressed. there were some really good parts in the movie but short of giving spoilers the movie was just not my style....

To round off the night my friend got pulled over for having a blown tail light. She got off with a warning though so that is good LOL

Now I have the headache from hell and my sinus cold seems to have gotten worse.. though it could be the alcohol.

regardless i need to get some sleep!

Is It MONDAY yet???

ok so day 1 of this 3 day weekend for the kids and they are already driving me batty! As long as I finish the dishes before Louis gets home I will be able to go to Maggianos with my friend Lisa and see The Dutchess afterwards! Can't wait!!!! I just have to keep telling myself DISHES ARE FUN! DISHES ARE FUN!!!

Down and Out....

Well not really, but I am suffering from a sinus cold so I decided to skip the trip. We'll have to plan for a different weekend in the near future!

Here's to hoping the kids won't drive me completely insane over this 3 day weekend...

In The Blink Of An Eye, A Week Has Gone By!!

OK so I have not been very good updating this (shame on me!!)

every time I think to post I feel like I should be adding photos to each post and then it goes downhill from there! Anyway....

A summary of my last week:
On Friday I finally ran to the store for tape and shipping supplies, then shipped out all of the remaining packages from my big group orders... and didn't get any of my cleaning done =/

Saturday I woke up around 5:30am to shower and get ready for a fun day of photography! I met up at 7am at the Morton Arboretum with my old photography teacher, Gene and an old classmate,Eddie. As well as two girls that are currently taking Gene's class. it was so fun! I love to get some insight from other people as well as see their final product afterwards. It is so cool how 5 people on the same exact trail can capture the most different perspectives!

The rest of this week hasn't been too noteworthy up until today. last night we had Parent Teacher conferences and let me tell you Martie and Wesley are grounded until thier next progress report!!! They have both promised me they will do better so we shall see! Then We have Lanie who got straights A's =) We are very proud of her!!!! We haven't decided what her reward will be yet =)

I did 2 colors yesterday and 3 haircuts (and got myown hair colored YAY!) after I get the kids on the bus today I will be headed to my friend's to get my hair cut as well. The kids get out of school at 1:30 today and then we are heading to my friend paula's house until Sunday in Michigan. I will hang out with her and visit my friend Amy as well since they live only about 15 minutes from each other. We will hit the Apple orchard/pumpkin farm too so stay tuned for those pics ;)
